| Description: | The Molding Process Engineer will exemplify leadership skills and provide a positive influence for co-workers, great communication skills, including listening, verbal and written; will work to influence change in a positive fashion, working as a mentor and a teacher. Objectives: Create a Product Development Testing Process and provide training to affected associate. Develop a Mold Validation Procedure and provide training to affected associates by end of April 2011. Research a dn find suitable fillers or alternative resins for cost-reduction activities (2 per each 6-month period). |
| Duties: | Be aware of production related problems in the Molding department. Work to solve problems with molds, materials, machinery, and processes. . Provide formal training opportunities to the technical personnel, as needed, to improve skils involved in the injection molding process. Provide on the spot training situations to technical personnel. Perform Qualification process for molds and machinery involved in the manufacture of product. Analyze current processes and make suggestions for improvement possibilities. Specify needed process equipment and software by staying abreast of such technology and products in the industry. Indentify projects that will result in cost reductions. |
| Qualifications: | Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in injection molding. Must have a strong mechanical aptitude and an understanding of fits and mating surfaces. Must have mold/product validation experience. Must be team oriented with good communication skills. Must have leadership experience, Must be flexibel with work hours to train and work with technicians on all shifts. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. |
