Description:

Will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, adapting and improving test methods, equipment and documentation for the Incoming Quality Assurance team. Will help establish methods, instructions and procedures to ensure lean practices are implemented into every aspect of product/packaging inspections.

Duties:

·         Examine equipment, processes and operations. Suggest opportunities for improvement.

·         Work closely with the QE department as it relates to failure analysis and equipment maintenance

·         Help develop processes to ensure quality, cost, and efficiency requirements are met

·         Read and interpret written documentation, drawings, procedures, and product information.

·         Develop, adapt / revise methods for inspection, testing and documentation.

·         Evaluate Incoming Quality Assurance's capabilities, resources, etc and recommend improvements.

·         Act as liaison/interface between IQA and all Engineering groups

·         Participate / Lead MRB & SCAR meetings and activities as needed

·         Participate in cross-functional improvement teams as needed.

·         Participate in and support value stream groups.

·         Perform inspections of incoming product as needed.

·         Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Manager, Director or Executive Vice President.

Qualifications:        Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook Word, Excel, Power Pointe and Visio programs.

•·         Ability to write statistical analysis reports, business correspondence, and procedures.

•·         Should have a good working knowledge with Quality Systems (i.e. AQL, ISO 9000).

•·         5+ years of experience in a fast paced manufacturing facility

•·         Must have an associate's degree or equivalent with at least six years of experience in a technical or engineering field or six years direct experience supporting Orbit products or a bachelor's degree in a relevant technical or engineering field. Experience with manufacturing concepts

•·         Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds
